So, I'm really not the kinda guy to be overly emotional nor am I religious guy, etc. but this has certainly tugged on my heart strings. I ask you all to keep this beautiful little girl in your thoughts. Some of you may have seen this on the news as it made national news the past couple days. Laney is a girl from my local community who just turned 8 years old and was diagnosed with a rare form of leukemia back in May. Last week she was given the horrible diagnosis that with her cancer along with a virus she recently contracted has left her with potentially only days to live.

One of her dying wishes was to meet Taylor Swift and to have Christmas Carolers come to her neighborhood. Well, after her wishes became viral via social media in just a couple days, nearly 10k people showed up in her neighborhood this past Saturday to sing Christmas carols to her. I attended the event and I can say it was the most amazing thing I have ever been a part of. To see so many people in our county and beyond come to support this little girl that most of us have never met was absolutely amazing. Also, even though she is on tour in Australia, Taylor Swift being from this area was quick to set up a facetime chat online with Laney so that she would be able to atleast talk to her face to face and cross another item off her bucket list.

Laney's condition has gotten worse since this past weekend, so at this point she is in dire need of a Christmas miracle. So I ask you all to please keep her in your thoughts as this beautiful little girl means a lot to our local community.

That is sad Josh. Sick kids can really affect a guy man...I understand where you're coming from. I'll keep you, her (even though) & loved ones in my thoughts.

Thank you. I truly hope that everyone in our community remembers the valuable lesson this little girl taught us all about the holidays and giving back to your community in general. In a time where so much trivial stupidity is going on in our society I will never forget the sight of everyone who came out in support of this little girl and her family. It really restored my faith in humanity, especially with some of the negative news that seems to constantly be in the news regarding our area. I will leave this post with a beautiful little picture that someone created on facebook.
