I went out to the garage the other night and there was a motor or pump running on my Taco. At first I thought it was maybe the water heater to the house, but after closer inspection it was definitely coming from my truck, my best guess is that it is the fuel pump. I turned the key to On (without starting it and engaging the fuel sending pump) and it stopped. I'm curious if that's normal to have the fuel pump run while the vehicle is parked and off?

Normal.. mine does the same thing. Check your owners manual. It's explains it in there somewhere. Freaked me out the first time I heard it happen.

Smog pump. It's normal to run when the car is off. I don't like it but the new emission stuff is like that.
