Just wanted to start a conversation about the article in Toyota 4wd about the performance upgrades to the 4cyl engine code 3RZ. Now I have the 2nd gen tacoma, not sure the engine code up this article grabbed my attention. They put new cams, cam gear and the tri-y headers in. They got about about 18hp and 5ft/lb of torque. I understand this was to the wheels but I thought that was a little disappointing.

I guess what I was wondering is I want to put the tri-y headers in, and a volant intake. Realistically what kind of increase could I expect?

You realize the 3RZ-FE is a totally different engine from the 2TR-FE in your 2008 Taco, right?
