What's going on everyone? Glad to be apart of this awesome community. Been lurking the forums for a while and decided to actually come out of the shadows.

Currently looking to get a new Tacoma. I miss having a truck. Used to have a 99 F-150 years ago. Had that thing decked out. I'm driving a car now and can't stand it. Gotta go back to having a truck again.

I'm debating about getting 4x4 due to the price difference. However, I do a lot of fishing and hunting. I fishing about 3 to 4 times a week. I could use it and probably will be i could get away with not having it.

    Thoughts?

    Welcome bud

You will regret buying a prerunner, there are several threads on it now and lots of members who were in your shoes, plus seeing as how you are in Houston, we have a pretty strong group here.

I hunt Deer, Quail, duck, and dove. However I fish on a regular basis. Looks like our Houston Tacoma guys do the same thing judging by some of the threads!

After 3 monthos of starting this thread I finally pulled the trigger. Little did I know when I bought it on Saturday it was the biggest shopping day of the year. Took me 5 and half hours to go through the full process.

I ended up getting 2013 Tacoma Prerunner SR5. I took about 3 months to think about it and I ended up not getting the 4x4. I actually have never needed it, even on the deer lease on the muddiest days. I'm sure if I had it i would love to hit up the trails. However I'm happy with my decision I made. I finally can stop drooling on my keyboard when visiting on these forums. No longer do i need to stick my fishing poles out the window from a car. I will probably keep it stock for a while before doing anything to it. I will upload pictures when I get home from work. Thanks again for the continued advice.
