So I was trying to install my Eibach spring on my Bilstien 5100's tonight. When I got the first one together and was trying to take the spring compressor off it wouldn't come out of the spring. The little lip or ears on the compressor were wider then the gap in the spring. Is this a common problem or am I doing something wrong? I have used this compressor a few times before and never had this problem.

Same thing happened to me... I unscrewed the threaded rod so the two clamps were "free". I then tapped em with a hammer to get them to rotate to a wider part then smacked em with the hammer to get them to kinda rotate out.

Thanks but I got it finished last night. I actually had to grind some off the bottom of the compressor to help roll them out
