I know this is a common request with a bunch of different results. I have a 2008 Double cab the back bins are already all removed to fit amp rack and 2 10 Memphis PR10V2. The box is prob close to 1.3cu with polyfill. A little shy of the 1.5 I was shooting for but that's where it ended up. I have a Kenwood DNX7180 with JL C2 components up front and stock speakers in the rear door just for fill. I have an old MTX TA3404 powering the fronts off 2 channels ( the rear I have never hooked up since I have kinda devices to leave just stock running off the deck as fill speakers). And an MTX TA5601 powering the 2 subs.
So my dilemma is that I want more bass. As embarrassed to say I want more if the stuff you can hear down the block. I have a JL 12W1 that I was going to build a ported box for. Will that get me much more then if I just built a bigger box for the 2 tens I have now. The next piece of this puzzle is to use the whole wall of the cab and retain my heater vents under the seat I am trying to use some narrow amps that will fit in the bins under the rear seat so a single 12 needing 300 watts is a nicer option then needing 600 to push my 2 10's. Do not have the cash to put in JL flat subs. If anything might switch to 2 sundown SA10. But would rather not. Please let me know your thoughts opinions or other options........
Also running the amps on the back wall would 18 gauge wire up to my seep rates be enough or should I go up to 16 gauge.
    Thanks

Do you still have the plastic covers on the back of the rear seats? If so, I recommend removing those and having another listen. Made a huge difference for me.

I'm running 2 Sundown SD-2s, the shallow ones. Anyways, they are in a supercrewsounds pre made sub box, and I'm poweering them with a Sundown SAX-1500D amp as well into a 1 ohm load. So, 1500w between both subs. I also have sound deadened the majority of my truck, everything but the floor. I can be heard down the block, I can feel it in my chest, and I hit 129db poorly tuned with too much stuffing in the boxes.

I had to upgrade the battery to an Optima Yellow Top group 27, and I have 1/0 Knukoncepts wiring for the amp. I also have an Alpine KTP-445u universal power pack in 2 channel mode running my fronts at 90wpc. My rears were running off the deck, but the amp died in the deck, so I just have the fronts running now.

I turn it down driving through neighborhoods, but on my way to work, is a mirror shaking, chest tickling, sub thumping ride almost every day.
