I would just worry about bending that thing into my actual bumper. The attaching points look a bit flimsy.

Don't crash into stuff with it man....its not an ARB plate bumper.....

I'd shove some snow or an empty garbage can with it but thats about it.

Thats what I wanted to know. I live in a city, Douche Knuckles always back into you when parking or what not, just want to know if a guy backs into me I just wanted to know if it would bend the attaching brackets into my bumper.

Trust me, its not me I am so worried about.

Well....this is part of why i park away from people in parking lots and i always back in. *knock on wood" i haven't had any parking lot incidents. I would imagine if someone hit the upper half of it, it might bend back but it'd be harder for them to get the top half of it the higher you lift your rig ;)

If you are really concerned about it, i'd email Brandon at Avid about it and see how many people have had issues.

Also, i'd like to leave this here discount info thread:

Thanks, I am sure you can beef it up a bit. Not to worried about the parking lots as much as the non-parallel parkers:wink:

Yeah sucks. Pulled into a spot like a boss one time here in SF. Fuckers didnt even know what they were watching, the back up camera made it even more "Bitches, this bitch knows how to park move the fuck out of the way!"

It was pretty awesome, 2 turn parellel job into a tight spot loaded with hipsters.

Thanks for the info, we'll talk later, Happy New Year.

Cant say i know anyone with the hellas so i cant give you any first hand experience. From what i have read though they are generally a good light. I am happy with my Piaas and i think a 4x Piaa setup would be very nice, (2 driving, 2 fog). Lightforces are also very nice, throw ALOT of light out but also big $$$$.

Self install was super easy, 4 bolts, 1 socket wrench, and about 30 minutes of my time in my driveway. The prepping and painting took much more time than the actual install.

Yup - I had to use a foot on my wrench but I only had an 8" wrench at the time. My enamel rattle can job is about worn out after 2 winters - getting some surface rust. Time to pull it off, sand it down and repaint. Love my Avid bar.
