I for one am deeply offended that Toyota has hundreds of commercials airing and not one is even mentioning the Tacoma? I mean honestly? Am I the only one that thinks they should the Tacoma should be showcased? at least on man channels like Spike and discovery channel. The Tacoma is honestly one of the most popular pickups on the market and I feel like Toyota doesn't care.

you didnt need a showcase to go buy it. As is with every other sale. It sells itself. Why waste money on advertising?

A lot of that reason is no segment competition. It's been negligible for quite some time.

Sometimes when you win the best way to get back on the last few things that are available for sale.

There really isn't any competition. Toyota advertises the Carolla and Tundra more because there is more competition in the small car and full-size truck markets. Camry pretty much owns the mid-sized car market.

Can't tell if you're joking or....

I'm not deeply or offended at all. Right now it's pretty much just a Toyota & Nissan game. I rather see the advert $$$ go into R&D, lower/more flexible pricing or more content as opposed to driving up demand and raising the purchase price. But, that's just me. Of course I'd say TM is spending it's advertising money where it thinks it needs it and that doesn't include the Taco (take that B.Turner). :D

Of course since I own a Tacoma, if they want to possibly drive the cost/price up, I say go for it.

I think you will soon see Toyota pushing the Tacomas harder since the new Colorados will be coming out in the fall followed by the diesel edition a year later. These trucks have had a major facelift and depending on the pricepoint, could give the Tacomas some well needed competition.

Doesn't much matter to me. I have DVR and rarely watch commercials anymore
