4 runner trail

I am trying to hook up my angel eyes into my day time running lights/ Blinker for my 4 runner. I spliced into them and they work as well as the day time running lights, however the blinker now does not? and gives a fast blink of the rear. Did I spice into the wrong wires as in do I need to reverse the splice? Any help would be great. Thanks.
