    Hello TW!

So I just sold my M10 AK and Mossberg 590 for a combined total of 1600 bucks. Now is buying time, and I can't make up my mind. I've got a budget of around $2000

Post any and all suggestions as far as 'black rifles' go. I already have a Bushmaster M4A3 in 5.56 so ammo/magazine commonality is a plus! Also extremetly interested in 308/7.62x51.

I'm really leaning towards a Tavor but any and all 'black rifle' suggestions are appreciated!

And heres a picture of the AK I just sold.

Build an AR10 style rifle yourself from an 80% lower with hand picked parts and pay off your credit card with the money you'll save!

I was thinking of doing an AR10. I've only recently been familiar with the AR platform so I'll have to do some reasearch.

Its not hard at all and for that amount you could build a 5.56 and a .308!

Springfield M1A! AR-10's are nice but the M1A is a piston actuation driven rifle and proven throughout time. It is the true .308 semi-auto. If you want a longer distance .308, there are many ways to spend 2000$ on a bolt action sniper. The Tavor is exotic but at any short range-assault type range the .223 is better for control and size/weight. No real need to rapid fire .308 unless A) You can afford to rapid fire and just want to (more power). B) you have a military need to rapid fire .308 it in battle..or C) you buy guns just to buy them and don't really understand the differences in rounds. Any how, I would higgggghly recommend the M1A as the most superb .308 semi auto long/mid distance rifle on the market for that budget. Classic design.

..if you plan on shooting a lot, i'd go w/ something in 5.56 over .308 due to ammo costs...
