I'd have to agree with everyone that said small compact like a Civic or Corolla. I learned in a Mazda Miata and it was super easy.

i learned on a 90 supra turbo and had to relearn in a hyundai sonata. the one think i would say is learn on a light and easy clutch and then once that is mastered move to something with a harder clutch

My truck would be a good one to learn in. If someone could master it, other manuals would be a breeze. I've only ever driven manuals, had a couple Mustangs with HD clutches and quick release quadrants that were easier to drive than my truck. Don't get me wrong I drive it fine now that I'm used to it, but you have to be perfect to be smooth.

Mazda Miata hands down. Plenty of them available, easy to drive and one of the best 5 speeds available.
