Hey all! I'm one of the new guys to the Tacoma community. I purchased an '05 Prerunner TRD V6 and have put approx. 12k on the odometer bringing me to 91k and change...I'm due an oil change and have often wondered about oil type...I serviced the last 2 times with the specified oil however am curious if running synthetic or a blend would harm the engine. From what I have read on here as of late it seems I'm in a "baby" Taco in terms of mileage, which is a great thing for me since I have no reason to get outa this truck I friggin love it! Always wanted a Taco and as they say "...I have arrived!". Dunno why I didn't do it sooner haha. Any thoughts about oil to run in it? I live in Albuquerque so the temps can be pretty drastic and I am a in and around town guy and haven't beat on this truck at all, kinda afraid to take a 2wd off in the sand or mesas since I have no clue what this thing can handle and I have never done any off road anything. Lest I digress...useful thoughts and suggestions are very appreciated! Thanks fellas! DC
