    Hey all,

I've had a dead washer pump in my 08 Tacoma (V6 TRD) for a while now. I am getting the truck ready for a long drive and want to get it figured out.

The fuse is fine. The pump is dead - no reaction when I pull on the pump control (fluid is not frozen).

I have read that it could be an issue with the switch on the controls. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? I was planning on looking for a new pump in town tomorrow.

    1 - Disconnect the pump
2 - Check for voltage on the connector pins while someone operates the stalk

    If voltage is present....

3 - Apply power directly to the pump motor to confirm it's dead.
