    2011 Tacoma with 132,000 mi. its always idled about 650 rpm now it seems it wants to idle at about 850rpm. any ideas?

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    Depending on what accessories' are running, and how cold it is outside, that's a normal idle speed.

    If you haven't done it regularly, get some MAF cleaner, pull the sensor and clean it.

    I've never cleaned the MAF sensor. how difficult is it?

    Easy, unplug the sensor, unscrew the sensor screws, spray liberally with the spray, don't need to actually touch the sensor, then reinstall. I don't remember if I would reset the trucks ECU when I did this.
