Automatics: How often do you use your 'Gears'

I'm a turbo man through an through. I just don't have one yet lol

 

We'll see what the future holds, but at the moment I am planning on an S/C due to simplicity since there are kits available and that instant boost instead of turbo lag.

 

I just let the brake assist do its thing unless I'm on a slick surface and need more control over the timing of shifting and rate of decent. Otherwise D, R, and P are my primary.

 

Front brake pads are cheaper than transmissions is my train of thought. I will occasionally take it out of overdrive in tight neighborhoods.

 

Shifting doesn't harm the transmission

you're right. Plus a 100K mile warranty doesn't hurt either.

 

Transmissions are designed to change gears.

 

Brake pads are designed to stop you.

 

panic stops, esp when getting off the freeway on a downhill, common in my area where the main freeway is above street lever, and traffic is backed up and i don't want to warp my delicate brakes…. or when trailering, less than 10 times a year i have to do this.

 

YOU HAVE AN OD SWITCH??? WHERE THE HELL IS MINE????
