    Hey Guys,

I finally ordered the Moab 2.0 from CB&I and now I'm having trouble deciding on which winch to order for it (There was a bad phone connection when I called CB&I so I couldn't really ask them their opinion). I've read numerous threads on winches already so I have an idea of the ones I like and dislike. I think I've narrowed it down to either Warn's M8000 or the Super Winch Tiger Shark 9.5.

What do you guys recommend? Will these winches fit? I can't find anything saying whether or not the Super Winch has a removable solenoid. Is that necessary?

By the way, this is going on a 2006 single cab 4x4 and my end goal is to relocate the winch plug to the left of the driver side headlight as well as install in cab controls.

    Thanks,

Just for fun, Here is a picture from my last outing. A couple bets where lost that weekend. Nobody thought it would preform as well as it did.

I have the super winch tiger shark in my Moab bumper. I relocated the solenoid under the hood to a spot between the passenger headlight and radiator. I used zero gauge car audio wire to hook everything up for the winch. It has been on for 1 year and no issues with it at all. It fit perfect and did not have to alter anything to make it fit or function.
The warn has been a proven winch and is popular. If I hadnt got a deal on the superwinch I would have probably done the warn m 8000. Main reason is for the remote winch control.

Thanks for your input. I'm glad to hear someone say that they were able to relocate the solenoid on their super winch. To be honest, that was the way that I was leaning towards. Just to clarify, what size winch is it?

The only reason I ask is because the relocation kit from super winch doesn't include the Tiger Shark 9.5. http://www.superwinch.com/p/remote-solenoid-wire-kit

    Mine is the 9.5.
I made my own relocation wires. Stopped in at a local car audio shop and they cut some wires and crimped connectors for me. It was a little hard to fit zero gauge wires into the solenoid box but its doable. You could probably use starter cables or battery cables to save a little money.
Here is a pic of where the solenoid is. I made a simple metal support for it and bolted it to the truck.

pic of the winch in the bumper before mounting. You can see the wires I used.

Thanks Again! I just ordered mine, it will be here Thursday thanks glorious Amazon prime.

Now it's time to check out the suspension threads. I'll be looking for a much better rider, but not any lift other then getting back what I will lose after adding the bumper and winch.
