I know a very large number of guys on here have wives/ girlfriends that drive Camrys... So what tires do u like to run on them? I've got Yokohama Avid Touring-S 205/60/R16s on my wife's '05 now and they are really loud compared to the tires that were on it when we got the car. (I can't tell ya what tires those were I dont remember). Plus my wife says they have horrible wet traction... Suggestions?

I've got the Michelin Hydroedge tires on my wife's Solara but they are also a little loud and being a directional tire you can only rotate front to back. I think i'll go with the Michelin Defender, it's pricey but has a good tread life and quiet ride.

Same here man its almost as bad as the Tacoma sometimes... The tires we had on it when we got it were super quiet and I wanna say they were Continental, but I can't remember for sure.

I can't remember off the top of my head of the exact model, but we have Michelin tires on the Camry. They were purchased through Costco and they're very quiet. Although one tire did get the sidewall punctured when it rubbed up against a thick branch.

We had great luck with the Michelins on all of our Camrys BUT I went a different direction for the ES300 Lexus- 215/60/16 General Altimax HP..

These were exactly what I paid for from the start....1st big Snow of the season hit as we were leaving for Florida;4-6" of packed crap and these made easy work of it...handled all of the mix precip in the mid-Atlantic states including concrete roads with freezing temps at night...;)

1600 plus miles and these have met every expectation plus; good all season traction, good mpg's just like the Michelins and much quieter...

When i had mine i had a set if bfgoodrich traction ta tires. They had good tread pattern and siping and did pretty good in slushy conditions. Road noise wasnt bad either. I have no idea if they are still made though.
Also michelins are a good choice.

We drove from Florida to Toronto for the holidays, and I needed to ditch the worn Michelins. After looking at the reviews, I went with the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus from Costco. Awesome in every highway condition except the heavy snow and ice we received. I don't think the snow tires on the Canadians' cars did much better. It was pretty bad here. Other than that, these tires are great.

We ran Goodyear Assurance Comfortred on our 2011. Absolutely amazing tire. Super quiet. Made the car feel brand new. Stay away from Michelin Hydroedge as far as comfort and noise go. It is a hard tire and rode rough on our car before the Camry.

I traded my 07 Toyota Camry SE in for the Tacoma.

I drove the hell out of the Camry, and I ate through tires due to the way I drove it. I ran a set of Goodyear Assurance which lasted about 20 minutes, then upgraded to Michelin's Primacy MXM4 in a V rating. It was a very nice tire. Burned through that and wound up throwing a set of Yokohama's YK580 (also in a V rating), which was awesome as well.

I also recommend increasing tire size from 215/55r17 to a 225/55r17 (assuming you run the 17" SE rims), particularly if you like to feel more grip.

Of course, this suited my aggressive driving style. There are far better options out there if you're doing the typical daily commute and just want the quietest, longest-lasting ride available.

You do realize that there is more that one Goodyear Assurance. There are Fuel, Comfortred, and Tripletred.

No kidding. And actually, there are and have been more options than that. With that said, I don't recall which model of the Assurance it was because they weren't on my car for very long and were the opposite of what I wanted. Assurance is Goodyear's flagship touring line, and H rated tires don't fare too well against hard cornering and acceleration.
