With my 2001 its not a hard job but it takes a little bit of time and ill give you my best effort in explaining how to remove the factory tuner.

First turn the truck off lol and unhook you negative battary wire NEED TO DO THIS
Then you will need to remove very carefully the climate control knobs and the peice behind the knobs that show you what your setting are like hot cold lo hi etc.

Next you will need to remove the lower peice that holds the ash tray and the 12v plugs. There are 2 clip like things on the side of this peice remove those and remove this peice. Next you should be able to pull the peice that is around your stock radio and that has the 2 ac vents off. Once you get all of that takin off you will see 4 phillps head screws at each corner of your radio and there are 2 plugs that go in the back of the tuner along with the anntena.

Now please note that when I did mine I did not remove ether one of those dash peices completely off i simply pulled them out of the way now maybe thats an ok way to do it or maybe I got lucky IDK

    When installing your new unit

    1. Buy a wiring harness for it that is made for your truck these make it so easy to put an aftermarket head unit in its unreal.
    2. Be careful with ur dash when you removing it.

Hope this helps a little bit

I know its probably not the easiest to understand so if you have any more questions shoot me a pm
