I'm looking for suggestions and real world experience with the current line up of available tires.

I'm in the market for tires for the first time in 4 years. I live in Southern California and I tend to see rocky trails so I want something cut resistant with strong sidewalls.

I am running a 255/85-16 now but will consider other sizes like a 285/75-16 to open up my choices. I love my 255's but hate the limited tire choices. I was leaning toward an all terrain this time around but will consider mud terrains. I rarely see any mud and don't seek it.

ABOUT THE RIG: This is not a daily driver in the sense that it is my only car but I ride a motorcycle to work 90+% of the time. The truck averages 7k miles on it a year mostly from trips. (See description in my sig)

Toyo Open Country MT's are awesome according to everyone that have used them. I guess it doesn't hurt that the Toyo MT wins Baja and used to compete in Dakar ;)

That's a good suggestion. The Toyo is probably at the top of my list right now.
