Rustoleum concrete restore

Anyone have any experience with this product. I have a bare concrete walkway up to my front door about ~150 sq. ft. I want to cover. Not to many reviews out there. The three reviews on Home depot site were negative.

Not sure about the Concrete Restore, but their Epoxy Shield had a hard time bonding with the concrete in my cellar at my old house. I put it down and it looked great, but 3 months later it was peeling up, and six months later looked like crap.
I know it's kind of a non-answer, but...

 

I think it shows what I've learned over the years with Rustoleum also. They make great paints for metal substrates, but plastics, wood and other materials, you'd be best served to look elsewhere.

 

Yeah, I was pretty unimpressed. Total waste of about $400, because it took two packages to do the whole cellar. Rustoleum wouldn't reimburse me, either, because they said I must have applied it incorrectly. I took the remainder back to Home Depot and did a , and they gave me a discount on the laminate flooring I put down there instead, but I was still pissed.

 

Every thread I found with google always came back to rustoleum customer service telling customer they "prepped or applied incorrectly". Just was wondering if anyone here had any success with this product. I did my back patio with Behr semi-transparent concrete stain - 3 different colors i tried to layer (probably not a good idea in the first place), put water based acrylic sealer, and is peeling/chipping at 1 yr old. Here's a pic after first coat of semi gloss sealer:

 

Seems to be the standard line. I cleaned the floor religiously. I vacuumed, mopped, let it dry. Applied a mild water-soluble solvent to lift anything adhered, then scrubbed it with a stiff-bristled brush to really make sure. Then I rinse-mopped it 5 times to make sure I'd gotten all of the solvent up. Then I let it dry for three days to make sure there was no liquid left on/in the concrete to screw up the bond. I mixed the resin with a brand new paint stirrer (at huge personal expense! ) and used a brand new paint roller to lay it down.
Six months later half of it had peeled up, and not uniformly, so I hid it under a laminate floor. Rustoleum's customer support (HA!) didn't want to hear a word of it, they just kept coming back to "you must have had an error somewhere, or still had solvent on the concrete.
Never again.

I wonder if something oil-based would work better than either what you or I've tried? My parents painted their cellar floor with an oil-based paint probably years ago, and it still looks like new. Cleans up easy, and doesn't seem to scuff or scrape. Not sure how it'd hold up for exterior applications, though...

 

I have been selling Paint/Stains for Lowes for two years.

I have sold hundreds, if not thousands of gallons of Deck Restore. The ONLY complaint I have ever had was from a gentleman who used it to paint the floor of his pontoon boat, who had it rain about 3 hours after he got done and it washed off. The first person I ever sold it too was buying 9 gallons for a job site, came back that weekend and bought it for his property. As far as deck products go, its my absolute favorite.

That is because 99.987% of customers refuse to do absolutely any prep work. Rustoleum backs their products with money back, they are one of the better manufacturers out there.

Staining concrete is PITA by the way... Probably why it didn't come out well.
