Looking for some opinions. I just had new tires installed yesterday. Got home after dark and went to work today before the sun was up. I just got home and was looking at the truck/tires and noticed a dent above the drivers side fender flare. Small, maybe nickel size dimple. It was not there before, the truck is a 2013 and prior to this had no dents whatsoever. Now i realize it's my fault for not looking at the truck last night when the tires were installed, but I didn't and wouldn't have seen the dent in the dark anyway. So what now? I doubt the installer will do anything as it's my word against theirs, but I'm frustrated that a shop put the first dent in my truck. Also I know it wasn't from a door as it's right above the flare, which sticks out the farthest. Anyone have experiences like this? What did you do?

    Bummer on the dent.

Is it garaged at night? Or parked outside?

Thanks. Parked outside at night. But in a private driveway with no other cars around.

If the dent really bug you that much, dent wizard is probably the best option. I seriously doubt the shop will admit to anything.

I'm always hesitant handing over my keys to the dealership/mechanics for this very reason.

Maybe they whacked it with the jack handle when installing the wheels/tires?

I had a paintless dent removal guy come out to our place to have a small spent removed from my wife's acura door. Only cost $75 and you can't even tell anything happened.

That sucks about the dent. But the first one is always the hardest, after it, they get easier to accept

Haha yeah I know about the dents getting easier, but I like to put my own dents in it, what bothers me is they did it and didn't say anything. Thanks for the ideas about the paint less dent guys. I might look into it to see the cost. I'm not sure I will fix it yet since the paint didn't crack or anything.

Best time to fix it when there's no paint cracks or crease. Price vary from place to place. Make sure you do some research and go to aood place.

My contractors working on my house scratched and dented one of my doors. Thankfully they fessed up to it. Good people still exist...they just need prodded sometimes.

This is the truth. The first dent I always freak out. After dent 6 or 7 I don't even give it a second look.

Sounds just like my 07 Tacoma. I invested in some sliders for my '13 and so far they have kept the wild flying doors at bay. *knock on wood*

My Tacoma is a dent magnet. A few are my own fault but most are from dent and scratch fairies that just disappear after damaging my truck without leaving insurance info.
