Hey guys, I traded in my Tacoma a little while ago for a new jeep patriot to avoid some repairs and go for some better gas mileage. I am regretting the decision more and more each day. Anyways, I did the deck plate mod on my 98 taco and now I am wondering if I can do it on my 2012 Patriot. It has the same airbox concept and I don't see any reason as to why it would not work but i would like a second opinion from some of you guys if you would be willing. I will try to find a picture or go take one if that is more helpful.

I'd say go ahead and do it. If it causes a problem you could always just screw the plate back in.

Try searching on some jeep forums too.

I thought the patriot was rated the worst jeep vehicle available?

Like I said I regret the decision. My Tacoma was starting to have problems and i wasnt looking to spend money repairing it. The dealer offered me a good price on a trade in and the monthly payments are low on the patriot. The gas mileage is amazing compared to what I was getting in my Tacoma.

The Patriot actually isn't a terrible vehicle, it just doesn't fit my needs.
