Im finally getting around to a build thread. I bought a 2013 black DCSB TRD Sport in June this year and ive slowly been switching things out. Alot of work to go still.
    When I first bought her

First thing I did was Plasti-dip the emblems. One can was enough for around 7 coats on each emblem. Love that stuff. Its been through the wash, the summer, and the winter and so far so good.

Next I tinted the fronts to match the rear windows (I think 35). I installed a Cravenspeed Stubby which absolutely sucks for reception, at least in Pittsburgh, but I use the bluetooth so I leave it on there. I removed the mud flaps rather than trim them. Havent had too many rocks get thrown up the sides yet.

Bought the Toytec AAL, rear Bilstein 5100's, front adjustable 5100's, and Eibach coils. It took me and my old man just under 4 hours to install the new suspension.

I set the fronts at .85 (second notch) because the Eibachs also added like an inch and a half. I didnt have the money to install LR UCAs at the time but I will next year. I personally love the feel of the 5100s both on and off-road. This is my first truck but Im happy with the 5100s so far. As far as gas mileage, I may have lost .5 mile per gallon. Maybe. But its barely noticeable. I did have it aligned immediately after lifting. I didnt get my specs, however it drives like a champ. The only gripe I have about the alignment specs after lifting 2.5" is that I do feel the truck wander a little here and there on the highway, which can get annoying. I think that is the camber not being in spec, which is why I want adjustable UCAs soon.

Also, after lifting, I had bad vibrations between 10-25 mph. The vibrations would be the worst when accelerating, especially up hill. I should have measured the angles of the driveline to determine what size shim to use, but I was lazy and just bought the 3 degree steel axle shims from Toytec, and some longer U-bolts. While the U-bolts are being worn in, ill still get the vibrations slightly, but when I periodically tighten up the U-bolts the vibrations go away. Thank God.

Took her fishing while I saved up money for wheels

Met Dustin from FN Wheels on the forum and he sent me these BFDs

    Friggin awesome!

Tried them on the make sure they fit just right

Then I had to choose what tires to run. As usual I scowered the forum for info and decided on Duratracs for the off-road traction and the winter traction. I sold my stock sport wheels and Bridgestone tires, including the spare, but minus the tpms sensors, and got $800. I spent $1500 on 5 Duratracs for my 5 BFD's and had the sensors swapped.

Had to take off the front flaps from both sides to not rub in reverse. But no trimming at all and no rubbing. Ive had both sides flexed pretty far without rubbing.

Here you can see the difference in the tires. Granted the Duratrac is mounted. Stock was 265/65-17. Duratracs are 275-65-18.

I only have like 1k miles on the BFDs and Duratracs but I absolutely love them both. I went from approx 17 mpg stock, to roughly 15.5 mpg after lift, wheels, and tires. The BFDs are super light and strong. The Duratracs are the 10 plys so theyre a little stiff, but Im happy with them. They do make a slight hum on the highway, but nothing stupid. Ive driven them on dry road, wet road, snow roads, and mild off roads and theyve gripped so well its awesome.
I do still have to mod the spare compartment to fit the new full size BFD down there. Hopefully that works out.

Overall this is my first truck and my first Taco, and I love it. Ive learned so much from this forum and I plan on continuing the mods and posting pics in the future. Hopefully some action pics soon. Thanks for reading and stuff. Any questions feel free to ask. Thanks!

    Future modifications:
    LR UCAs
Front and rear steel fab bumpers
    Winch
    Skid
    Window rain guards
Something with the bed, not sure yet.

Odi412, the ARB is great. It works well as a mount for my winch and looks good as well. Have had it for over a year and there is not a time I don't enjoy looking at it. In addition, it almost t-boned a 10" diameter fir tree weeks ago and I'm sure the tree would have lost.
