having a little trouble (as expected) with an Amazon hid conversion kit. i didn't get the bi-xenon i just got the low beam hid and high beam halogen kit. it looks like a simple plug and play but the hid light isn't working. the halogen will turn on with the brights but the hid will not turn on with the main headlights on.

if this has already been posted maybe a link would suffice, if not i would appreciate any advice or tips.

LEER Shell with dome lights operated with 3 way switches, aux backup lights with relay and 3 position switch, modified wiring to compass/temp display and clock to include switch that disables dimming function (poor man's DRL solution), Scan Gauge 2
A first gen Tacoma has ground switched headlights. Most non-Japanese trucks and cars have positive switched lights. Any harnesses that come with a 9003 conversion kit are likely positive switched unless specifically designed to work with a Toyota vehicle.

Also, it's my understanding that if you have factory installed DRL things get even more complex.
