Hello guys I am new on this board and am eyeing a 4x4 2012 DCSB TRD. I currently drive a civic and am sick of this dinky little thing! It's currently a 2011 Civic Sedan LX with roughly 40k miles.

I am looking to trade in this car... do you guys think there will be a huge hit? Any suggestions?

Is the insurance much more for a Taco?

Thanks, I'm not the best in dealing with cars!

What do you mean a huge hit? Insurance is based off your age and driving record. Great truck choice though.

When I Was looking for my Tacoma i started looking on autotrader.com, they have new and used cars from dealerships and private sellers.i would suggest starting here your gonna start to learn what price range all the different models sould go for. Like base models to full option models, single cab, double cab, stick or auto trans the prices are gonna vary. Decide what model and colors you like and narrow it down from there then after you compare enough you will know high and low prices :)

What do you want, a truck that has sporty looks or a truck that has climbing and offroading ability without expensive aftermarket add ons?

The Sport TRD and the Off Road TRD are very close to the same cost, but ONLY the Off Road TRD has a locking rear differential and the amazing A-TRAC locker-like traction system on the front and rear axles.

The Sport has a very popular fake hood scoop and color matched bumpers and mirrors, but the traction systems in it are the same as all other Tacomas.

So, nothing wrong with wanting a truck for the way it looks... but I bought my truck for the places it can take me, stock.
