A while ago, I was having a problem with my e-brake sticking and wouldn't retract all the way to turn the brake off. Well fast forward a few months and I went to pull my ebrake and it was a little tense at the start of the pull and then it seemed to brake free and and the ebrake handle pulls in and out without engaging the ebrake even the slightest and there isn't any tension on the handle. Any thoughts to dig into please let me know. I have to tow a trailer in a couple weeks and so I need to get it taken care of by then! Maybe a diagram of the ebrake system? thanks in advance!

Bad cable. Cable could be fried somewhere giving you too much free play. Or the spring on the bracket that splits the cable. Wd40 can fix that. Google it it's all over the place.

Good news, did some investigating today and saw that my ebrake cable just came unhooked from the handle and nothing is broken. Will lube everything up tomorrow and get it going perfectly
