Not much on airbags and seatbelts, kind of a dangerous man. Apparently my Taco lives that way too...

All kidding aside, my airbag light comes on seemingly at random. I think im on to it though, tends to only happen on the really cold days. I took her to the stealership and they couldn't tell me what it was that would cause it. There was no codes when they hooked their computer up either. (And wanted to charge me just to look at it) Am I just gonna be driving around one day and have an airbag inflate in my face? Is there anything i can do to fix this? Or do i have a new dash light?

The airbag wont go off randomly, but I'd be worried about getting in a crash and it not going off due to some glitch.

The light could be coming on due to a sensor coming out of calibration. The dealership can re-calibrate all your sensors, clear any codes and zero everything for about 50 bucks.

Does the passenger airbag light do anything abnormal when the dash light comes on?

No, says "on" when someone is sitting in the seat like usual.

Weird, If its only intermittent I would take it do the dealer next time it comes on.

If you're still warrantied at least they will check the codes and re-set everything for free.

The fault should still be stored in your ecu even if the light is not currently on. Most likely, it's an intermittent short with an SRS component. Popular components are seat belts and seat belt buckles.
