Awhile ago my antenna was ripped out of my truck. There is no other damage to the base of the antenna, just the missing mast. I read on some other forums that there is "usually" threads inside to where the mast could be easily screwed back in.

Unfortunately, there are no threads in the base of the antenna. I am not sure if this is how it came or if it is the cause of when the individual ripped the antenna out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank. :D

If I'm hearing you correctly sounds like you need a whole new base if the threads are stripped.

This happened to my wife's 4Runner. A auto carwash snapped it off and ruined the threads. The new part was about $60 IIRC.

The worst part was taking off the plastic inner fender. PITA.

Ah I was hoping that wasnt the case.....Do you take off the plastic base through the dash? Or through the hoood? Or maybe both. Thanks.
