I like my 2010 4x4 Tacoma but the seat is too close to the floor. It's like sitting on a box. No leg support behind the knees. Long drives are difficult. I'm going to try to get an upholstery shop to fashion a cushion that is a 'wedge' to support my legs while keeping my butt at the original level. Any suggestions? Maybe this will work. Im a little concerned about the room i'll have between the legs and the steering wheel, especially when getting in and out.
I had the same issue once with a Mercury Sable and i put spacers under the front brackets that worked great. But I'm afraid doing this to a Tacoma may affect safety systems, seat belt functions, etc.

Smoke headlights, improved LED tail lights...Pending: De-chrome badges and grille, new tires
I had the same issue with my 99 Taco. It was brutal on long trips. I had never heard anyone else with that issue before I read your post.

My 2006 does not have that issue, thankfully.

That's one of the things I dislike too. I'd be happy if there was a way to tilt the cushion for more thigh support. Other truck manufacturers have only been doing it for 20 years or so, figure it would have trickled into toyotas trucks at some point... Maybe next gen.
