Inner tire rods

    3'' lift , k N cold intake ,
    just want to know if anybody has done a change out of inner tire rods on a 2009 .just need some info on what a bad inner tire rod would feel like .Before i change the rack and pinion that I am not looking forward to .

    A bad inner tie rod can be pretty easy to diagnose, but is dependent on how bad it is. If you feel significant play in your tire at 3 and 9 positions, then you can place a hand on the inner tie rod and gripping it tightly, use your other hand to try and see if you can feel the play by wiggling the tire the same way.

    I have done lots of tire ends but never inner .Is it a comon problem? I have felt the play in the tire at 3 and 9 .I am going in.The part is 54$ and some of my time . Just hope the rack is not bad. Thanks for the info

    It is not uncommon at all on the Tacoma.
