    Not much.
I had 20 put on the front of mine to match the factory rear and it was too light for me so I had them keep the 20 on the front and put 5 all around over that. During the day the sun is bright enough for me to see everything and at night I can see the headlights before merging. When downtown or pulling my garage I just roll the window down when I need to. My wife and I just prefer the privacy over minor night vision impairment.

Ok...had my 2013 TACOMA TRD CREWCAB 4x4 for about a year and have always hated the tint that the truck was delivered new with from my dealer. As we age the vision grows dimmer and at 56 I just felt claustrophobic in the truck on overcast days. To my chagrin, I discovered that the rear and rear passenger windows came tinted from the factory....ahould have done my homework upfront before buying. The front passenger side windows had a dealer applied film that matched the rear tint exactly.....it was at 47% tint. Using a steam iron that would emit steam when upright, I was able to remove the front film in about an our. Tip: keep the film hot & steamy and 95% of the glue comes off with the film. Removing the front film made a big difference, but now the truck looks out of balance....but at least I can see better at night side to side. The rear window still bothers me a lot. I hate not being able to see clearly when backing up at night or on overcast days.

Hi, went to get my tint done this morning. My Tacoma as the sticker on both front window that says "this vehicle equipped with theft deterrent system" installed by the VPC folks that but the alarm on. Tinter said he must pull that sticker off to tint with warranty, if not, no warranty. Thoughts???? Must i remove this sticker?????

Yes, it needs to come off. They want a perfectly smooth surface to lay the film on. Why do you want the sticker? If you really think it deters theft you can probably find some online to put on the outside of the window.

thanks, just nerdy like that. I know it doesnt deter, just like things they way they come. So, decided to check at the dealer. Walked the lot, 8 of 10 vehicles have tint added for a huge price/dealer margin and the ALL have the sticker left in place on the window and look great. That did it for me, will leave it on......
