LED flat panel tv wall mount

About to hang my tv to a wall mount for the first time and wanted to see if any recomendations for the type of screws/bolts to use to hang mount into studs. I was thinking general lag bolts. Will heavy duty wood screws also suffice? TV weight is approximately 62lbs. Thanks for the tips.

 

The mounts ushually comes with adequate lag bolts. Mine came with 3" (forget the width) worked like a charm. Wood screws would probably hold that weight no problem, but i wouldn't risk it. Not worth risking a $1000 tv. Also another reason to poke an extra hole or two and make sure you hit the center of the stud with those fat lags.

 

Yeah thanks. I posted without looking in the packaging box of the kit. Lag bolts were included and will be more than adequate. One thing missing were lock washers for VESA tv screws so off to the hardware store I go. Will end up going to the store for $.10 washers and end up spending $100+ for other stuffs too. All good.
