    Thanks! A couple forums that's it. Like I said not in a big hurry, I won't mind driving it with the top and doors off this summer if I don't trade before...

    This... I drive a 2004 STI so I'm not exactly new to manuals. I hated a clutch on the rocks though, it was nothing but a hot smelling mess that caused it to fail at 30,000 miles because of the way I had to gingerly drive it. Real offroading in technical rock sections can't easily be done with a manual unless you rely heavily on a handbrake or somehow have a 3rd leg.

    I haven't done a lot of wheeling but I would guess an auto is as useful in a lot of situations as manual depending in what your doing.... Oh and BUMP

    im the complete opposite...i love my 6spd on the trail.....so much more control ....im still on stock 3.73's with 35's an havnt smoked the stock clutch at all...just gotta know the sweet spot ...cant wait for 4.56-4.88's (havnt decided yet) then i wont even have to think about it..;)
