Plastic molding cleaner

My prerunner has the plastic molding around the wheel wells. Anyone know what i can use to clean it and protect it so it doesn't fade? Soap and water does not seem to work well to clean it.

 

I've had excellent results with "Back-to Black" for the initial treatment. After that, regular applications of Aerospace 303 protectant keep the plastic looking nice and help with sun fade. My son's first generation flares had turned a light grey, but this procedure blackened the plastic and kept it looking nice.

Does Aerospace 303 run off with rain?

 

You can also use regular dashboard protectant, like a Meguires protectant...it'll help effortlessly erase that faded look, but it doesn't last through repeated exposures to rain. It's what I use on the mirrors, door handles, bed rails and rear bumper step valence. Back to black works well, but you need to keep applying it.

 

Not really no. I mean it doesn't last forever, you have to reapply after a while but it is very good

 

Adam's Super VRT. Great product. I use it on the black bed rails. More importantly it is waterproof.
