    There is someone around here that wrapped theirs with 550 cord. I need to replace my cover and want to do that.

    Yes, without one the steering wheel is way to small for my hands.

    Installed for long-term wheel protection as the cheapo steering wheel material degrades, rots off and you can eventually feel the metal frame of the wheel underneath it.

    Does feel better when gripping as well, obviously thicker.
