To give you an idea of cost of parts. I've been toying around with the idea of doing a lsx swap in something cool. I'll sometimes browse Craigslist. Example..there is currently a complete ls1 with 76k miles, t56, ECM, harness, sensors and accessories...everything for $3700obo. I'm sure you can find it for better.

My first car was a 76 Camaro. I've still got it, but it hasn't been on the road in 10 years. My uncle built a 71 that I've always wanted and will some day own, if he will sell it to me or give it to me..lol

So I was going to buy a SC for my truck but came across someone wanting to sell a 98 trans am. The car is in great shape and I think I can get it for around $3000. It's not the ram air ws6 and I don't believe it's an SLP either. I know that our sites have an LS1 in it acc will ruin like a scalded dog. Just wanted to see what yall's thoughts were.

My first car was a '75 - swapped the cam out, got a valve job, single plane aluminum manifold, 650 Holley, Doug Thorley headers, and a dual exhaust. It was a blast to drive! A few years later, after graduating from high school, I picked up a '70 1/2 Z/28. I miss both those cars. Wish I could find a deal like yours!
