Hey guys... I'm trading in my 11 jeep patriot and getting a tacoma. Im looking at a couple but what should i look for as far as buying a used one. I know i should look underneath at the suspension for rust or abuse, but is there anything that has a reputation for going bad early on the tacomas? Im looking at the 2wd double cab models and one that is standing out is a 2010 tacoma dble cab long bed 2wd. It's got 32k on it and the v6. Let me know cause when i bought my patriot new back in march of 2010 there were things that go out constantly that i was unaware of for ex the contol arms go bad quickly. Let me know.

you should have no problems with the 2wd. if 4wd wheel bearings would be about it. frame rust should be no issue at all where your from.

Thanks guys. I went and looked at the 2010 tacoma dble cab long bed 2wd yesterday and it had some rust on it but it also looked like someone had been real rough off road or something cause the suspensions seemed off. Im going tomorrow to look at a 2011 black dble cab tomorrow hopefully i can drive home in it. Its got 40k on it for 20,900.
