I have a 2001 PreRunner access cab, TRD that has a vibration at 50-53 MPH, all other speeds the truck is smooth.

Tires are new Michelins, shocks are new Monroe sensa trac.

Tires were balanced at the Toyota dealership because they are the only ones in town that had the correct adapter to use.

The vibration is only present when I am not loaded and is extremely smooth with a load or pulling my boat.

I am now suspecting the choice of shock as they may be to stiff for this truck when it is unloaded.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks

So does the vibration go away after you exceed 53mph??

It is smooth at all speeds loaded.

It has vibration unloaded at 50-53. Smooth before 50 and after 53 unloaded.

    thanks

How long has this been happening?

Check the RPM's for that speed for loaded/unloaded.
