ok I have read somewhere on here about a leaf spring mod you can do to prevent the squeaking;however, I thought my squeaking was the rear differential or possibly rear u-joint on the driveshaft. So I took it to the shop b/c i had to get a oil change anyway and thought I would let them look at it. So they say it is my rear leaf springs and my warranty covered it to be replace it so I told them to go ahead.

So when I got my truck back it still squeaks. I told the dealership to check the rear u-joint as that is what other people have agreed with me and said that was the problem. The dealership said to run it this weekend and if it is still squeaking to take it back.

If it is the rear leaf springs if the truck is setting still and you jump in the bed or rock the truck side to side wouldn't it squeek??

My girlfriend thinks its the breaks. I don't think so b/c it squeaks when you are accelerating and when you get to about 10-15mph i feel a small vibration in the rear end.

All problems still exist just as they were before taking it to the shop. Any Ideas???

Any kind of lift on the truck that may require shims?

Have the u-joints been lubed lately?

sorry forgot to mention. No lifts or any other aftermarket mods except rims that were on the truck when I bought it from the dealer. Other than the rims everything is stock.

scottw1 that's what i told the dealership but apparently they are fine. I told them I thought it was the u-joint.
