Just wanted to introduce myself as a new Tacoma owner. In November '13 I purchased my 2011 TRD Sport Double Cab Long Bed with just 12,000 miles on it. At that point I had a 2011 Ford F150 FX4 Eco boost. Unfortunately with less than 30k miles on the Ford, I had numerous warranty issues. Transmission, transfer case, brakes warping, electrical, and cosmetic. Basically, it was a good looking and fast truck but it was a POS and I had no confidence in it. I had heard nothing but good things about Tacomas from my co workers and friends. Originally before I bought the Ford I was going to buy pretty much the exact same Tacoma. Then I got stupid and lured in by all of the Ford advertising and incentives.

So I decided after all of the F150 warranty issues, that enough was enough...it was time to buy the truck that I should have bought in the first place. I narrowed it down to either silver or magnetic gray, and wanted a Sport since going off road isnt a huge priority. I also wanted a double cab long bed, which I found to be pretty hard to find in Indy. The closest one that I could find was in Nebraska at a Toyota dealer! So I spent two days driving (visiting some customers along the way) and traded in the F150.

Long story short, I love this truck way more than the F150 and look forward to driving it every day.

The original owner babied this truck. He also installed the TRD skid plate, TRD seat covers, Toyota hood protector, and cat back system.

Since I bought the truck in November, I have only had a chance to do just a few mods:
    Bakflip G2 cover
    Tailgate lock mod
    Locking tailgate
    Flyeyze ambient lighting
    illuminated 4wd switch
Bridgestone Blizzak tires (the wife's Pathfinder got the original Duelers)
    Rampage side steps (black)
Rigid LED lights (to be installed)
    Locking gas cap
    Spare tire lock
    New '12-'14 style gear shift
    Tinted windows

My hopeful list of future mods includes the TRD supercharger (I do miss the brute force acceleration of the F150 Ecoboost...), 18 wheels, and some Hella horns.

I haven't been on the site long and have already learned quite a bit about Tacomas. I am glad that this site exists!

I have an extra set of 17s. They arent in the best of shape. Got them as spares from my friend. Are you looking for pristine new ones or does the condition not matter?

Shame to hear of the problems with the F150, that Ecoboost V6 is a solid powerplant.

I liked the powerplant overall. I did have issues with condensation building up in the intercooler and "starving" the motor. Basically when I was cruising down the highway when it was rainy and cold it would happen. Then when you tried to accelerate...like to pass a semi...no go. the truck would shake and wouldn't move. I was told Ford had a fix for it. Took them a year to do it though.
