So yesterday I installed an AUX fuse panel and relays, and now the truck is having a pretty hard time starting. Turns over fine (and it turned a lot of times), so I don't think the battery is an issue. Also, instantly after starting up my ScanGauge was reading 14.1 volts.

I can't imagine anything that would be making the engine need to turn over a lot of times to start. It was reasonably warm, 30 degrees, and I've started the truck much more easily in negative temps. I did play with the fuses a bit, but nothing seems blown this morning. Also - I ran wire from many of the relays, but I didn't have time yesterday to install switches, so they shouldn't be pulling anything.

I did unbolt and rebolt the ground point (in the engine bay, right by the battery) in order to ground my fuse panel. Any chance I have a weak ground? I would think this would make the engine turning over difficult though, and it seemed to turn fine.

After it started slowly the first time, subsequent attempts to start were normal. Maybe I'm just being over-cautious and I flooded the engine, but I have a 50 mile commute to work and would really prefer everything started fine in the morning. Could it just be a coincidence, or did I definitely do something when I added the fuse panel?

2010 OffRoad DCSB Manual 6-Speed for reference.

When you disconnect your battery your ECU loses it's memory and the truck will act funny until the ECU re learns everything. I have an aftermarket intake and my truck will start rough, idle rough at 500 and take a couple of days to re learn and run normal again. They sell " memory savers " to avoid that issue, pretty cheap and worth it.

Interesting. I've disconnected my battery a bunch of times and never had that issue. Maybe I got lucky those times/unlucky this time. Thanks for the info!

Same here, seems to only happen when it is unhooked for a while.
