Just wondering if anybody has treated their own Tacoma frame (while attached to rest of truck) if you missed Toyotas rust frame campaign ? POR 15 or Chassis Saver maybe . And if so, how did it work for you ?

Plenty of guys. Por-15 that bitch. Get an air scaler and wire wheel and go to town to get to good steel.

Just had my frame inspected and passed. Lots of threads on here and other forums regarding frame protection. Depending on your year you should still have it inspected. I will be using fluid film on the inside and the same or perhaps por 15 on the outside.

You have an 02' so you would get a frame replacement unless you live in one of the salt states. Check your letter.

Nope, never got the LSC since Toyota had previous owner on file, heard about it from a coworker when he found out I had a Tacoma. By the time I got to the dealership, I was 6 weeks late so I got a courtesy inspection (checked out O.K.) but no frame spray. I am on my own. I found on bad area this weekend that is getting fixed by a autobody shop. Rest of frame is decent with surface rust only. Plan on a big project this spring.
Photo below is 2 years after inspection.

I would spray out inside of frame to get debris out then I would fluid film the hell out of the inside.

Mine went in to be inspected and had the coating put on, since then I have por15'd the exterior and oiled the inside. Hopefully that will last.
