questions about Toytec ultimate 3 inch lift

    are uca's needed or recommended? I am going to install the Toytec Ultimate Kit soon and the uca's are like an extra $400. can I go without them for a while or is it a really big pain in the ass?

    Highly recommended if you are going to go for higher amounts of lift. You can get the lift kit, install, and see if you can get it aligned. If you can...You are find without UCAs....If you don't get good alignment- UCAs should be your first step.

    what do you mean by 'cant get it aligned'...like the tires are touching the road at the wrong angle? are new uca's just shaped differently than stock ones to compensate for the 3'' lift?

    If you get a nasty tire squeal when turning at low to moderate speeds or if the truck wanders on the road or feels "off" in the front end- You are most likely out of alignment. If you notice uneven tire wear (faster on the inside or outside of the tire) you have REAL alignment problem.

    Sometimes the stock parts do not have the articulation to allow the caster to be fixed. The some aftermarket UCAs have a different joint that allows them to adjust to the proper position.

    Cause it's another 400 bones and change that you don't NEED to spend...but they do sell them if you want...!!!
