I'm lookin into getting a full Yoshimura exhaust for my CBR500R. 2 cylinders, 8500rpm redline. I emailed Yoshimura about it and they said the exhaust I was inquiring about is "designed that exhaust to work with the stock settings on the bike." I don't have much knowledge or experience with motorcycle engines, and if I pull the trigger, I'm gonna check the plugs regularly to check for an overly lean mixture. I was hoping someone else would have some better advice on weather I'd really need a Power Commander or something similiar. Thanks!

Runs fine and plug look good = only do it if you want to

Runs crappy, lean, or burning plugs = your gonna need a power commander.

Reading plugs on a FI engine is pretty hard to get an accurate reading unless things are very out of whack. Generally if you get popping on decel or other fueling issues just get a power commander.
