Hello all. Im changing out my rear leafs. The rear passenger leaf is blown and looks bent but instead of just changing that particular side, I decided to just go ahead and change both the driver and passenger leafs.

My question is....Do I need to change out the rear shocks since Im changing out my leafs? Is it generally a good practice to change out the shocks when the leafs get replaced?

I drove around for a whole year with my passenger rear leaf blown! Is it possible that I could have damaged the passenger side rear shock? What are the chances that my rear passenger shock is blown. Should I change out the rear shocks? Thanks.

At this point your shocks if original have about 15 years on them. They probably should have been changed 11 years ago.

Long way of saying, yep :)

Dude just change your shocks with your leaf packs it is smarter to change them before they go bad.
