I just started doing this recently. It also seems to reduce windshield wiper frozen to the windshield phenomena:D

Wet floormats + super cold temps = inside frost.

I find that when it's below -25C outside that's when I start to get it. I started putting Rain-x Deicer on the inside the windows and that seems to curb it. But if it's down to -30C and below, it's a pain in the ass. I find that it's bad when I have a passenger. At least my windows don't freeze and not open like they did on my VW.

so whenever its cold out not only am i scraping the outside of my windows but all the windows on the inside. i've searched the forums here for a solution and there's nothing. i've tried everything
    • keep carpet and floor mats dry
    • run a/c on heat to dry the air inside
    • crack the windows and park in the sun
nothing seems to work. today was -19C with windchills -30. had to scrape everywhere.

i think we just have to get used to it. this winter's been really bad. have had to scrape daily. PITA

It's even worse if you have something damp in the truck and then put up one of those sunshades.
