Got standard mirror with TRD package on Tacoma

Hi all, I was just wondering if any of you had this same thing happen, and if so, what did you do about it? I can not get ahold of my salesman and the service manager did not know what to do about it:

I ordered a 2014 Tacoma 4x4 double cab with TRD package. I like knowing where I am going and what the temp is outside, so I was intrigued by the autodimming mirror, compass, and temperature gauge being included within that package. As a matter of fact, in the 2014 brochure, that particular mirror should have come with my TRD package.

My husband had picked the truck up b/c I was out of town, so when I was able to drive it for the first time today, all I see is a standard mirror with one of the flip tabs on it.

I need that temp and compass mirror. Any suggestions?

 

yeah unfortunately even here in hawaii they never informed us that there would be any changes with the tacoma. Obviously thats a change. 2013 and before all had the auto dimming rear view standard with SR5, TRD sport/offroad, limited packages. Call your dealer and complain would be my only suggestion. chances are they will only be able to give you a discount on the mirror. but maybe you will get lucky.

The reason for the change is that the camera now comes through the touch screen.

I work at a dealer out here and a few of the sales guys are kinda pissed with the misinformation. Similar situation with other customers.

What was the outcome. I recently purchased a 2014 Limited edition and it doesn't have the gauge either.
