    When connected to a 1998 TRD, is the display on or off when the ignition is off?

    Going on the assumption it will function like it does in my '04, the display will be off when the ignition is off. Mine is on only when the ignition is on.

    Thank you - I found and downloaded the manual.

    According to the manual, the gauge itself remains on whenever it's connected to the OBII plug. Turning the ignition OFF, turns off the gauge's display.

    An exception exists - if you leave the gauge in the MENU mode, the display remains ON when you turn the ignition off.
