I told wife this is why I spend the extra cash on 4x4. We had a snowstorm that crippled the city. But I was able to go places safely. I love this little truck.

Glad you got your driving done safely :).

4wd and snow is a good combination. On the other hand, ice doesn't care how many driven wheels you have... you'll go nowhere on that crap and or not stop.

I'm also in Birmingham(Homewood actually) and my 4x4 DC TRD Sport became an auxiliary police vehicle during this two inches of snowmageden! Nothing stopped it but the nondrivers who left their cars and trucks littered all over the roads. I took a heart surgeon to Children's Hospital to do surgery and delivered many people to shelters. The Tacoma did great as I expected. I've used my other Tacoma's for this before. I will never have a truck without four wheel drive. When you need it you need it. We have a couple of 4x4's in the HPD but not nearly enough for a situation like this the last few days. Hopefully we are done with snow this season but you never know. Oh, and I run Revo's and they were awesome.

Two weeks ago had a dusting of snow maybe 2-3 inches and I was driving with no problem and the two vehicles in front of me were sliding out of control, I turned around and went home and parked my Tacoma safely cracked open a brew and lit a cigar. Love it as well!

I wish I got 2 inches of snow in a winter. Same with it being above freezing most of the year.

This is when I get out and drive. Anytime there is a snowstorm I have for years just gone for a drive. My 9-year old daughter now looks forward to the drives and loves to come with me. We're waiting for the next one!

Haha I agree, I live in the mountains too:D. Not to be rude but we get some retarded amounts of snow, especially on the service roads which are never plowed. Had my Taco go through 2 feet of snow one day, it took a while but never really struggled, now my gf's team trail 4runner in the snow, thats a different story lol:(.

I think I've only used mine 1-2 times this winter, and we're 2x our normal snowfall. Didn't have to use it either time, but I figured I paid for it so might as well....

Part of the credit goes to our road crews, but even in 2WD these little Tacomas just go.
