Running in 100* heat at 3,075 ft above sea level(not my normal track) on a very conservative tune. 5500 rpm limit, 9.5 peak boost.

This is the MK3 kit with the massive C38-91 trim Rotrex and 800cc injectors. Only got one run in, called it quits because of the heat. Never got to race it again after this unfortunately.

The re-manned engine had too many oil leaks from poor assembly standards so I retired the truck from racing.

6.5 seconds from 0-60 is getting it? LOL

Guess I am still learning... I love my Taco, but there are some jaded folks out there... Nevermind, poster's name says it all... LOL JK, but you know where I am headed....

Props to the OP for racing it. THAT is the cool part. :)

So why not fix the leaks and continue on? Not knowing how hard it is to switch out motors in these, I can't comment, but if you've already got a remanned in there, you know how.

    4.3 isn't bad at all. :)
I also saw F/A ratio's of 10s when looking at some other videos, which means there is still power left on the table, being overly safe with the tune. My jaded comment had to do with the HondaGM guy. Dealt with too many ricers who think they live their life a quarter mile at a time, whose 15 sec cars are fast... :)

Don't hate, I know my fast car is actually pretty slow in the drags, I just hang with a lot of GM and Ford guys who have given me quite an education and are driving mid to high 9's street cars. And yes, I miss my sprayed WS6 TA putting down 500+. :) It's all good.

Back to the original question, why not fix the leaks and keep going?
